A dynamic and fast-growing Global Media company, based in the heart of Central London, is seeking a Senior Management Accountant to join their finance team. This role is ideal for an experienced professional with a background in Media or PR, who is ready to take ownership of financial operations and support senior management in driving business growth. The position offers a blend of strategic involvement and hands-on accounting tasks, making it perfect for a self-starter eager to make an impact.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage overall financial operations for the London office, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and group policies.
- Prepare and deliver full monthly management accounts, including P&L, cash flow, working capital, and revenue forecasts
- Report variance analysis to budgets and forecasts and ensure all global recharges are reconciled monthly.
- Produce monthly balance sheet reconciliations (prepayments, accruals, bank, VAT, debtors).
- Lead the annual budget and quarterly reforecast processes.
- Oversee multi-currency accounts and manage banking relationships.
- Act as the main point of contact for the annual statutory audit with external auditors.
- Maintain the company's fixed asset register and manage working capital to optimise cash flow.
- Produce quarterly VAT returns and manage statutory filings (P11D, P60, PSA, corporation tax).
- Ensure client contracts are in place, manage job numbers, and oversee sales and purchase invoicing.
- Ensure timesheets are up to date and check client job reports for expenditure.
Skills and Experience Required:
- Media or PR experience is highly desirable.
- Advanced Excel skills are essential.
- Part-qualified CIMA/ACCA or QBE.
- Proven ability to work independently, take initiative, and handle tasks at all levels from ledger to top-line strategy discussions with senior management.
- Experience in a fast-paced, client-focused environment with tight deadlines.
- Strong leadership, communication, and team collaboration skills.
- Ability to problem-solve and adapt quickly.
