To strengthen our team at the location in Leinfelden-Echterdingen (near Stuttgart), we are looking for a Hardware Engineer - Mobility (m/f/d) with immediate effect.
- You are responsible for the conceptual planning and designing of electronic hardware for electrical bicycle products, including camera and sound systems.
- Your responsibility comprises the entire design cycle: Component selection, schematic, layout, laboratory bench testing, design verification and integration, handover of finished designs to test engineering and production.
- You develop a wide range of different electronics, from multilayer PCBs with BGAs and high-speed communication to sound systems with several watts of output power
- In addition to aim for excellent performance of your designs, you have an eye on the integrability of your hardware into battery-powered bicycle ecosystems
- With your ideas you support the product management in concept and planning of new products
- We collaborate as teams with diverse disciplines such as mechanical, software, audio and validation to create unique solutions
- You create volume driven mass production designs and support our production team in the industrialization process
- You interact with customers for integrating the products into their systems as well as coordinate with suppliers
- Bachelor's degree in electronic engineering or a related field
- Background in developing camera systems or equivalent, additional experience with sound systems is advantageous
- Excellent knowledge with schematic and circuit design using EDA tools such as Altium
- Basic experience in circuit simulation and simulation tools such as LTspice is a plus
- Experience with design of high-speed communication lines such as USB and Ethernet, additionally with design of wireless radios like WiFi and Bluetooth are a bonus
- Knowledge in EMC conform PCB design and creating robust cable connections
- Hands-on skills like soldering, preparing samples and the use of test equipment
- Knowledge in quality management and documents such as FMEA is a bonus
- Familiarity with agile project management tools such as Jira
- Interest in travelling moderately within Europe
- Excellent English communication skills, German language is a bonus
