Responsibilities:
Provides the highest quality age-appropriate care for patient's newborn to 21 years of age within the scope of practice and established standards for occupational therapy.
Functions effectively as a member of the rehabilitation team, with collaboration with other disciplines of physical therapy and speech therapy.
Evaluates patients, meeting established standards, and creates a plan of care that addresses client and family concerns with meaningful and personalized goals.
Plans, organizes, and implements effective and appropriate treatments in a variety of sensorimotor, educational, recreational, and social activities designed to achieve functional outcomes.
Teaches patient skills and techniques required for participation in age-appropriate daily activities that require fine motor skills, visual motor skills, sensory processing skills, attention, and motor planning.
Studies and evaluates patient reactions to the program and prepares effective treatment, reassess skills, modify treatment plans, and establish appropriate plan of care with progress reports.
Completes documentation, meeting departmental standards for content, accuracy, and timeliness.
Qualifications:
SpeechTherapist licensure in good standing in state of practice. (GEORGIA)
Minimum of one year of experience in Pediatrics preferred.
Master’s degree in Speech Therapy
CPR Required.
