The Operations Supervisor at First Class Transportation will play a pivotal role in overseeing the daily contract operations, ensuring that obligations are met efficiently. Reporting to the General Manager, the Operations Supervisor will lead a team of drivers and serve as the primary point of contact for drivers assigned to the contract.

Supervision and Leadership:
Provide direction, guidance, and support to drivers to ensure they understand their roles and responsibilities and can perform their duties effectively.
Identify and address daily operational issues, such as scheduling conflicts, driver call offs, vehicle breakdowns, or customer complaints, in a timely and effective manner.
Collaborate with other departments, such as maintenance, dispatch, and customer service, to ensure smooth operations and effective communication.
Provide training and development opportunities to drivers to help them improve their skills.
Monitor and evaluate driver performance, providing feedback, and implementing corrective actions when necessary.
Ensure all drivers comply with safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe work environment
Resolve conflicts and disputes among drivers in a fair and impartial manner.
Safety Functions:
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in safe operating condition.
Providing training to drivers on safety procedures, regulations, and best practices.
Be prepared to respond to emergencies, such as accidents or breakdowns, by coordinating with emergency services, providing assistance to passengers, and ensuring the safety of all individuals involved.
Report and document any safety-related incidents, including accidents, near misses, and safety violations. Investigating incidents to determine root causes and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations that pertain to transportation safety, including driver hours of service, vehicle maintenance, and safety inspections.
Customer Service:
Serve as the point of contact for clients, addressing their inquiries, and providing updates on service status.
Assist passengers with boarding, disembarking, and luggage handling to ensure a smooth and comfortable travel experience.
Resolve customer complaints and issues promptly and professionally to maintain customer satisfaction.
Communicate customer feedback and service issues to the operations team to facilitate improvements in service delivery.
Provide training to employees on customer service best practices to ensure consistent and high-quality service delivery.
Operational Excellence
Monitor operational performance, including on-time performance, service quality, and implementing improvements as needed.
Generate reports on operational performance, including key performance indicators (KPIs), to management and stakeholders.
Manager drivers, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluation, to ensure that safety and service standards are met.
Allocate resources, such as vehicles, drivers, and equipment, to meet operational needs and optimize efficiency.
Drive company vehicles and operate the service as needed.

Qualifications and Skills:
Be at least 25 years of age and speak/read/write in English
Possess a Commercial Driver's License, Class "A", or "B", with "P" Endorsement. (Preferred but not required)
Strong analytical, conceptualization, interpretation, and critical thinking skills
Self-motivated with a sense of urgency, and readily acclimates to an ever-changing environment.
Required Educations AND/OR Experience
Minimum 2 years’ experience in the transportation industry.
Experience supervising staff in multi-shift, multi-site environment.
Schedule:
In light of the nature of the transportation industry, the Company does not maintain regular business hours. You are expected to work customary business hours but will vary as determined by the Company’s specific business needs. Schedules are subject to change and may require early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, or multiple-day shifts. Flexibility with the work schedule and the ability to work any shift assigned is required.

$29 - $32 per/hour
