Salary information:
Medical Assistant – Health Care Technician 1 – Range HCT21 – Salary $41,346 - $54,252 Annually
Medical Assistant underfill – Health Care Assistant 3 – Range HCA13 – Salary $38,051 - $48,634 Annually
This position guarantees two salary raises within your first year as long as your performance is in good standing
Work location:
Primary location is East Linn Health Center in Lebanon, OR.
Clinic Highlights: Primary Care, Community Health Workers, Behaviorists, Nurse Care Coordinators. Works closely with Linn County Behavioral Health Providers
All Medical Assistants may be asked to cover at other CHC sites when the need arises to support the delivery of patient care services. Mileage reimbursement available per county guidelines.
Position summary
Medical Assistants (MA) work with health care providers to deliver primary care to clients of the Community Health Centers by preparing patients for physical exams, recording health information, phlebotomy, collecting specimens, performing screening tests, and performing administrative/clerical duties related to the patient care process. Other responsibilities include supply and immunization inventory and training new staff when necessary.
MA work in a patient centered, team-based care delivery model serving a diverse patient population. This position provides support to proactive patient care and care coordination.
UNDERFILL OPTION:
The goal is to fill this position as a Medical Assistant. However, applicants who can meet the minimum qualifications for the Medical Assistant within one year or less of on-the-job training are encouraged to apply as "underfill" candidates. Employees hired into the Medical Assistant level position as an underfill will be hired as a Medical Assistant underfill and then re-classified to the Medical Assistant upon passing trial service and meeting the minimum qualifications for that classification.

Minimum Qualifications
The following minimum qualifications are required for this position:
Medical Assistant – Health Care Technician 1 (HCT21)
Technical training beyond high school in Medical Assisting or a directly related field that allows for a State or Federal recognized medical assistant certification; AND
One year of work experience in a similar field or work setting (e.g., nursing assistant, home health aides, personal care aides).
Must have State or Federal recognized medical assistant certification at the time of hire.
Medical Assistant Underfill – Health Care Assistant 3 (HCA13)
Technical training beyond high school in Medical Assisting or a directly related field that allows for a State or Federal recognized medical assistant certification; AND
Must be able to obtain State or Federal recognized medical assistant certification within 6 months of hire.
Special requirements:
Training and skill to be able to administer immunizations to patients of all ages or willingness to learn.
Hiring is contingent upon the successful completion of a background check.
This position requires driving and may require use of a personal vehicle.

Medical Assistant underfill – Health Care Assistant 3 $38,051 - $48,634
This position guarantees two salary raises within your first year. Increases are given at the end of the 6 month probationary period and at the 1 year anniversary, as long as your performance is in good standing! Increases are given until the maximum of the salary range is reached.
For most employees who take advantage of health benefits the salary only makes up 60% of their total compensation. The County invests in you and your family!
