*Substance Abuse Counselor Requirements:*
* Masters degree in Counseling, Social Work, or a related field
* Valid state clinical licensure
* Experience in substance abuse counseling
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills
* Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
* Commitment to promoting a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion
*Substance Abuse Counselor Responsibilities:*
* Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine the needs of individuals seeking substance abuse treatment.
* Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings.
* Provide counseling services to individuals and facilitate group therapy sessions.
* Address the unique needs and challenges associated with substance abuse recovery.
* Offer education and preventive services to individuals and groups to promote substance abuse awareness and prevention.
* Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client interactions, treatment plans, and progress.
* Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and documentation standards.
* Work collaboratively with other counselors, healthcare professionals, and support staff to deliver comprehensive care.
* Participate in team meetings and contribute to treatment planning.
*Pay: $60,000- $85,000.00*
*Schedule: FT Evening IOP*
