*About the position*
The Cardiovascular specialist will, under the general direction of the physician(Cardiologist/Radiologist), will assist by scrubbing procedures or monitoring physiologic and hemodynamic data, as related to diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures performed in the cardiovascular lab.
Ensures the procedure room is adequately prepared for the procedure.
Monitors par level of all instruments and supplies
Assists in all aspects of invasive and noninvasive cardiac procedures.
Participates in departmental staff meetings and performance improvement activities and the training of new staff
*Requirements:*
Must be a graduate of an approved school of nursing, or radiology technology, or cardiovascular technology or respiratory therapy as evidenced by verification of state licensure.
Diploma or transcripts required upon hire.
One year of critical care or emergency room experience is preferred.
Current Tennessee or compact professional license or RCIS certification required within one year. Current certification in BLS and ACLS (Red Cross or AHA). If not ACLS certified on hire, must acquire it within 6 months.
