The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and managing the overall warehouse operations to maximize productivity and reduce inefficiencies. This person plays a crucial role in developing and maintaining good relationships with the installation and order fulfillment team members to ensure all jobs/projects are prepared and complete for on time installations.
This is a 2nd Shift position.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING - THE ROLE
Manage employees through training, coaching
Collaborate with installers to meet installation requirements
Collaborate with Order fulfillment/SVC team members on inventory items to meet scheduling requirements
Provide daily reporting to leadership on job and inventory status
Identify process bottlenecks and identify solutions in a timely manner
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse according to OSHA standards
Direct workflow to satisfy production requirements efficiently with customer satisfaction being primary
Ensure warehouse operates at peak efficiency. Supervise, organize and direct warehouse personnel to achieve operational goals
Manage the unloading of product and consumables from trucks and disposal of trash
Manage the loading product and consumables in the trucks.
Implement and manage cycle count program ensuring inventory accuracy. Reconcile inventory counts.
Manage warehouse operational systems, for product handling, storage inventory management, shipping and receiving
Review upcoming installation schedules and technical maps to ensure the department has visibility of what needs to be prepped
Manage the audit process of all jobs/project for completeness for installation at least 5 days prior
Review and prepare workforce and space requirements and action plans to ensure productivity, quality, and customer service standards are met
Implement lean objectives in the daily operations and employee culture
WHAT YOU BRING - THE PERSON
Strong leadership and decision-making skills
Ability to meet deadlines and excel in a warehouse environment
Excellent communication skills including verbal, interpersonal and written
Ability to use computer and Microsoft applications
Understand Lean concepts and how to execute
Minimum 5 years Warehouse Leadership experience
Knowledge of warehouse management principles including coordination of resources, shipping & receiving procedures, cycle counting and inventory reconciliation
Knowledge of Inventory Management Software
