The Leonardo DRS Land Electronics business provides C4I Network computing and integrated situational awareness, as well as state-of-the-art embedded diagnostics, vehicle power management and combat vehicle integration products and services.
Job Summary
Responsible for direct contribution to development of technical solutions, software test frameworks, test plans, test scenarios, test applications and test products. Job Responsibilities
Develop, maintain, and execute verification testing on a variety of software products (embedded software, software applications, and integrated systems).
Analyze system and software requirements to determine feasibility of verification and validation within time and cost constraints.
Design, analyze, integrate, test, and document software test cases for the purpose of systems or subsystem verification.
Provide technical guidance to include concept development and peer/design review participation.
Support verification testing, transition to production, and field issue resolution.
Provide process compliance and tailoring guidance.
Support environment of collaboration with developers and Product Owners
Develop/maintain test tools and multiple test bed environments.
Support, communicate, reinforce, and defend the mission, values, and culture of the organization.
Qualifications
A Bachelor’s degree, or an equivalent combination of education/experience in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related technical field.
Minimum of 5+ years of related experience, preferably in a government contracts environment, or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience
Must be a self-starter comfortable with taking ownership for ensuring the quality of products/systems under test.
Must have the ability to work effectively in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment.
Must have proven technical experience with utilizing Linux and Windows Operating Systems in a development/test environment.
Must have a deep understanding of networking, including switching, routing, VLANs, and voice/video protocols.
Must have experience reviewing requirement specifications for testability, creating/maintaining test plans, formulating test cases for requirement sell-off, test execution, and test reporting.
Must be a US citizen. This position does not require a security clearance, but the candidate must meet DRS security standards as imposed by the DoD. The ability to obtain any necessary security clearance by the US government after commencement of employment is desirable.
Additional Desired Experience:
Candidates with previous experience utilizing fundamental Software Design Lifecycle Management (SDLC) practices in a Systems or Test Engineering role will be strongly preferred.
Candidates who have previous experience testing cyber architectures, embedded software, and/or integrated systems will be strongly preferred.
Candidates who have previous experience utilizing black box testing practices and methodologies will be preferred.
Candidates with previous experience working within a collaborative Agile Methodology environment will be preferred.
Candidates who have familiarity with the Atlassian Tool Suite (JIRA, Confluence, X-Ray, R4J will be preferred.
Candidates who have experience with the Microsoft Office Suite will be preferred.
Candidates who have experience with developing test cases using automated frameworks in a CI/CD environment will be preferred.
