On an average day as an On-Call Nurse, you will
Provide initial and ongoing assessment of the impact of the terminal diagnosis on daily living and the patient's physical, functional, spiritual, psycho-social, and environmental needs
This role requires a non-traditional schedule
A common on-call schedule would be 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. with 7 days on and 7 days off
This is a salaried role
Partner with an interdisciplinary team to implement and manage plans of care, determining scope, priority, and frequency of services based on patient/family needs, and recommending revisions as necessary
Consult with and educate the patient/family regarding the disease process, self-care techniques, end-of-life care, and ethical concerns
Communicate with the medical director and other clinicians regarding changes in patient needs and outcomes of intervention
Prepare and submit documentation of observations, findings, and services provided
And perform additional, related duties as needed

Desired Skills/Qualifications
Must have an active RN license
Ability to work outside of typical business hours
Willingness to respond to our patients in their time of need
Have a valid driver's license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation for the purpose of traveling to our patients
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to complete patient charting on a daily basis
