What You'll Do
You're a dynamic, creative, flexible LCSW interested in working with single adult men at a DHS-funded mental health shelter. Reporting to the Executive Director, you’ll lead a team of enthusiastic social workers providing service to clients with mental health diagnoses. You're someone who has great engagement skills, leads by example, and will serve as a role model and provide supervision for our (L)MSWs. As needed, you'll also provide direct client care, including coordination of services for an assigned caseload of clients.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Working closely with the Director of Social Services to ensure continuity of services for all shelter residents.
• Collaborating with the onsite medical provider as well as with HELP’s LPN.
• Overseeing and participating in intakes, incidents, and discharge decisions and processes.
• Assisting with coordination of care for higher risk cases.
• Providing and supervising crisis intervention services and ensuring appropriate related incident reporting.
• Implementing new initiatives and program improvements to ensure high quality service delivery to clients.
• Ensuring clinical and administrative compliance in all program areas, including accurate and timely submission of assessments and progress notes.
• Providing individual supervision to Social Workers.
• Conducting community outreach, developing and maintaining strong linkage relationships with DHS and community service providers, and participating in network/coalition meetings.
You’re a great fit for this role if you have:
• LCSW preferred, LMSW required. We offer LCSW supervision.
• CASAC strongly preferred.
• Creativity, experience with group work, and strong supervisory skills.
• Experience providing case management services to people with mental health diagnoses, cognitive disabilities, and/or experiencing homelessness
• Computer literacy, particularly with Microsoft Office applications, and ability to maintain statistics using various programs.
• Interest in receiving mentorship from our social work committee
