Mountain Community Health Partnership (MCHP) is seeking a full time Family Medicine Physician to join our team based in Mitchell County in Western North Carolina. This is an outpatient only position with no inpatient rounding. Physicians work 4 days in clinic with patients scheduled 8 hours per day. As a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), MCHP provides additional services including integrated Behavioral Health and in-house Clinical Pharmacist consultation. The physician, utilizing a team-based approach, is responsible for providing comprehensive, high quality and culturally sensitive rural primary care.
Our providers offer preventative care for children and adults, treatment of chronic and acute conditions including same day walk in visits, management of the prenatal and postpartum patient, and treatment for opioid use disorder. In addition to providing outpatient medical care, duties include, but are not limited to, complying with all MCHP goals for the practice, and remaining in compliance with all MCHP policies and procedures. The medical provider will adhere to evidence-based guidelines as appropriate and participate in quality improvement activities.
The Family Medicine Physician will maintain current knowledge of policies and procedures as they relate to safe work and practices. The position may require the provider to see patients at more than one site.

The Family Medicine Physician must hold a current and valid North Carolina Medical License, active DEA, up to date BLS and ACLS certifications, and obtain and maintain the American Board of Family Medicine Certification.
