We at Freudenberg-NOK Sealing Technologies run the business operations of Freudenberg Sealing Technologies (FST) in the Americas. Being part of the global Freudenberg Group, our company is a leading producer of advanced sealing technologies for automotive and general industries. Freudenberg-NOK Sealing Technologies is a joint venture between Freudenberg and NOK Corp. in Japan, is headquartered in Plymouth, MI, operates more than 20 facilities and employs about 4,700 people across the Americas.
Plant Manager
Responsibilities
Directs and manages all plant operations to ensure that the plant is in compliance with and continually improves safety, quality, delivery and profitability/financial reporting.
Communicates clear performance expectations to the Necedah team of around 80 associates.
Utilizes capital expenditures responsibly and innovates using lean manufacturing techniques for improved productivity, quality, and competitiveness.
Makes daily decisions on staffing, capital, operational expenditures, training, costing, etc.
Drives the Annual Operational Planning (AOP) in line with strategic targets, including capital and other planning requirements.
Reviews production results versus plan to meet/exceed operational performance and customer satisfaction.
Supports the Talent Management process to improve performance and develop personnel skills.
Create an environment of mutual trust and respect and motivation.
Site Executive Officer (SEO) responsibilities including crisis management, HSE compliance and policy deployment, and environmental protection for the site.
Responsible for financial profit and loss for the site.
Drives project execution at the site in support of the strategic objectives.
Qualifications
B.S. in a technical discipline or Engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing, or equivalent), MBA desirable.
5-10 years operations experience at the management level, automotive experience highly preferred with manufacturing experience in metal stamping and metal forming also preferred.
Adequate knowledge of business and management principles (budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation, and human resources).
Familiarity with industry-standard equipment and technical expertise (e.g. secondary operations equipment, automation, and injection molding).
Experience with management in a Union environment and a strong comfort level with union contracts.
Be knowledgeable of safety, quality, productivity, demand creation, inventory, and stewardship processes.
Exceptional communication and team-building skills.
Proven ability to foster a culture of agility, creativity, and continuous learning.
Communication & Collaboration: Communicates clearly and concisely, while serving as a sparring partner to internal/external stakeholders. Fosters teamwork between employees and across the organization.
