Description: As a full-time, non-exempt, Pharmacy Technician, you will assist in various pharmacy activities under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. Your responsibilities will include preparing, delivering, and restocking medications; performing order entry; procuring drugs; billing. You will carry out your job duties according to written procedures and guidelines based on pharmacy standards and regulatory requirements.
Schedule: This position will work 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday from 7:30am-4:30pm.
About the Facility: Western State Hospital is an acute care adult psychiatric facility operated by the Commonwealth of Kentucky. The hospital serves the most western 34 counties in Kentucky. All referrals for admissions come from one the four Community Mental Health Centers serving in the four regions of Western Kentucky. Western is an acute care hospital that is accredited by The Joint Commission (TJC) and certified by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). CPS Solutions, LLC has partnered with the hospital to manage the day to day operations of this pharmacy. This position is an employee of CPS.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED
Recent experience in a hospital or retail pharmacy
KY Pharmacy Technician license required
PTCB Certification required
Proficient computer skills including experience using Microsoft Office
Effective communications skills; verbal and written
