United Salad Co. is seeking a motivated Diesel Mechanic to join our team. Our shop services and maintains a fleet of over 200 vehicles. As our fleet grows, our established crew of mechanics grows with it.
Job Responsibilities:
• Diagnose, adjust, and repair class A trucks and refer trailers.
• Maintain and service all equipment to Federal DOT standards.
• Inspect and replace worn brake components. Experience with steering and suspension systems is desirable.
• Job duties will include the use of hand tools, such as screwdrivers, pliers, wrenches, power tools, pneumatic wrenches and jacks.
• Perform routine maintenance such as changing oil, checking batteries, and lubricating equipment.
• Keeps documentation on all repairs and consistently communicates status of downed vehicles to shop manager and dispatch.
• Road test vehicles to diagnose malfunctions or to ensure that they are working properly.
Job Qualifications:
• Must be 18+ years of age.
• Must provide own hand tools that are adequate to perform job functions.
• Valid driver’s licenses is required
• Must have one year of truck and/or trailer repair experience.
• Unrestricted ability to walk, stand, bend, stoop, squat, lift (up to 75 lbs.), push, pull, climb, and lie on back in horizontal position for prolonged periods of time.
