You support our team as
Electrical Maintenance Technician
Responsibilities
Direct/Support technicians, specialist, and contractors as required.
Complete preventive/predictive maintenance work orders in a timely and efficient manner.
Work with production personnel to accurately diagnose, troubleshoot, and correct problems.
After hour response to emergency/breakdowns.
Installation of new/repaired equipment.
Provide support as needed/requested from other maintenance personnel and departments.
Position is defined as electrical and instrumentation technician and must demonstrate proficiency in all areas such as electrical and mechanical maintenance/repair.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent. Two year associate degree in electronics or related field. Must have satisfactorily completed at least one mechanical course and one maintenance training course on pneumatic, hydraulics, HVAC, steam or heat transfer systems and mechanical drive systems, and one course on PLC (Allen-Bradley) and DCS (Foxboro I/A).
Required experience:
Five (5) years of satisfactory on-the-job experience in the electrical maintenance field or equivalent technical training course work.
Required license or certification:
Forklift Certified
Required education:
High school or equivalent
Two year associate degree in electronics or related field
Must score a minimum of 75% on technical knowledge test.
Must demonstrate:
(1) knowledge of advanced electrical applications and general knowledge of mechanics
(2) how to use a multimeter to test/troubleshoot electrical circuits
(3) ability to read blueprints
(4) advanced knowledge of AC and DC drives
(5) basic knowledge of temperature and pressure control elements
(6) advanced knowledge of medium and low voltage power distribution systems
(7) basic knowledge of HVAC systems and the NEC
(8) Certified with PLC’s (Allen-Bradley) and with DCS (Foxboro I/A),
(9) thorough knowledge of entire plant and all equipment in it or ability to learn
(10) ability to trouble shoot and correct problems associated with items listed above, and be able to demonstrate this knowledge
(11) continued development of abilities to analyze problems and determine correct solutions and
(12) ability to determine material and equipment necessary to perform minor modifications to equipment and installation of additional equipment conforming to applicable codes.
