Field Service Technician - Industrial Gantry Cranes - Kenosha, WI
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Field Service Technician to join a team, specializing in the repair and maintenance of industrial gantry cranes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both mechanical and electrical systems, including experience with 480V power systems. This role requires a proactive individual who can work independently and efficiently to minimize downtime and ensure the safe operation of clients' equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on industrial gantry cranes, ensuring all work complies with industry standards and safety regulations.
* Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and control system issues using diagnostic tools and equipment.
* Troubleshoot and repair 480V electrical systems and components.
* Replace or repair defective parts, motors, control systems, and other equipment as necessary.
* Maintain detailed service records and documentation of all work performed.
* Collaborate with clients to provide technical support and training on equipment operation and maintenance.
* Respond to emergency service requests and perform on-site repairs as needed.
Qualifications:
* 3+ years of experience in mechanical and electrical repair, specifically with industrial gantry cranes or similar heavy factory equipment.
* Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing 480V electrical systems.
* Strong understanding of mechanical systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
* Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
* Physical ability to lift heavy equipment, work at heights, and perform tasks in various environmental conditions.
