Redwoods Post Acute is a skilled nursing facility with 152 beds located in the heart of Willow Glen in San Jose California. We are looking for a committed, caring, and reliable Respiratory Therapist, RT to join our in-house rehab team for our Skilled Nursing Facility
Location: 1267 Meridian Ave, San Jose, CA 95125, USA
Shift: Full-Time AM Shift
Pay Range: $41 to $46 per hour
Other Benefits: Paid Training, Paid Orientation
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Conduct respiratory assessments on patients to determine the extent and severity of their respiratory conditions
Administer respiratory treatments and medications as prescribed by physicians
Monitor patients' vital signs and oxygen levels during treatments
Evaluate patients' response to therapy and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans
Educate patients and their families on respiratory conditions, disease management, and self-care techniques
Assist with the maintenance and calibration of respiratory equipment
Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop comprehensive care plans for patients
REQUIREMENTS:
Valid and active Respiratory Care (RT) license in the state of California.
Must have an active BLS through the American Heart Association
Must have an active CPR Certification
Bachelor's degree in respiratory therapy or a related field
Is in good standing with all regulatory agencies and licensing boards is required
Interest in working with the geriatric population
Proficient in conducting various respiratory tests and assessments
In-depth knowledge of respiratory conditions, treatments, and equipment
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team
Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Compassionate and empathetic attitude towards patients
Willingness to stay updated with the latest advancements in respiratory therapy
EXPERIENCE:
With Skilled Nursing or Long-Term Care experience is preferred
Experienced Respiratory Therapist (RT)
