Home Base Inc. has immediate openings for Master’s Level therapists to service families of West Virginia. This is a part-time position with the ability to become full-time. Licensed preferred, but licensed eligible will be considered. Experience working with adult and children, and previous Medicaid knowledge will be given priority.

Essentials:
A minimum of a Masters Level in Psychology, Social Work, or Counseling with Diagnostic Rights Preferred (but not required) assigned by the State of West Virginia.
Licensed by the State of West Virginia as a Licensed Professional Counselor or Licensed Clinical Social Worker. License eligible will be considered.
Must be able to pass a CIB/NCIC and APS/CPS Background Check
Must have experience working with both Children and Adults in a clinical setting
Additional experience in the field of Substance Abuse Treatment is viewed as a plus.
Be able to verbalize the progression of a client through a treatment experience in relation to their chosen theoretical orientation.
Previous experience with Medicaid will be given priority.
Must have reliable transportation.
Computer skills are necessary. Experience using an EHR system a plus.
Activities:
Provide out-patient clinical counseling in an office setting for children and adults, and in client homes through the community. These services include but are not limited to individual therapy, family therapy, couples therapy and/or group therapy.
Demonstrate creative and innovate clinical services that are in accordance with Best Practice standards.
Conduct and submit Children & Adult Mental Health Assessments and/or Bio-Psychosocial Assessments in accordance to both HBI and Medicaid standards
Develop and initiate the Mental Health Treatment Strategies, Initial Treatment Plans & Master Treatment Plans.
Complete required discharge summaries for services having been rendered
Complete clinical action notes (Progress Notes) at the time of service provision. Notes will address the treatment goal/objectives, interventions utilized, and progress towards goal attainment as well as presenting barriers. (Medical Model)
Compliance with Medicaid documentation and timeline requirements for outpatient clinical services
All direct services and collateral services will be logged on a master client log of services (to include phone contact, referral source contact, etc)
Participate in clinical supervision with HBI Administration (or designed HBI professional). Supervision sessions may be conducted as a staffing in an individual or group setting as indicated by the WV. DHHR. This supervision must occur a minimum of one occasion every two weeks or one hour per every 20 client contact hours unless otherwise specified by HBI Administration
Maintain necessary authorizations for release of information to ensure the necessary sharing of information regarding service progress and needs of clients
Collaborate with Internal and External Professionals in relation to diagnostic nomenclature, recommendations, and treatment strategies. Attend Treatment Team staffing when applicable.
ADMINISTRATIVE RESPONSIBLITIES
Submit time sheets in accordance with HBI policy
Ensure documentation of client contact on all provided sessions, phone calls, and collateral contacts. This documentation is to be completely in a timely manner according to HBI policies and procedures.
Maintain and submit clinical supervision logs at the end of each month if required.
Attend all training as required by HBI
Attend monthly staff meetings when applicable
Timely submission of all reports required by HBI
Engages in other activates necessary to ensure the effective functioning of Home Base Inc.
Attend outside training as assigned by HBI Administration.
Responsible for compliance with mandatory reporting procedures as it pertains to known or suspected incidents of abuse or risk to minors or impaired adults. Staff is responsible for informing HBI Administration immediately in the event of suspected abuse.
Ensure that position billing report is completed and submitted to appropriate persons when specified

Employees must be proficient in the English Language (speak, write, comprehend, etc.). Secondary languages are viewed as being an additional employee skill. There are no age or gender restrictions affiliated with this position unless clinical justification warrants a same sex clinician. Both gender applicants need to be made aware of the possibility of encountering clientele that may be experiencing active psychosis, certain personality disorders, significant mood/anxiety disorders and irrational social skill interactions, which could result in unsteady or intense interactions for the employee. Ergonomics affiliated with this position include being seated for the purposes of documentation completion, typing on a computer due to documents needing to be typed, seated while traveling to a client residence, possibly standing at times during face to face meetings, carrying laptops, client files, office supplies (not to exceed 35 lbs.). Approximate duration of seated positions are solely contingent upon the employee’s ability to utilize a computer and comprehend procedures for completion of essential documents. Examples may include 45 minutes to 1.25 hours for the completion of a typed Intake, 15 minutes to 35 minutes for the typed completion of an Action Progress Note, 25 minutes to 45 minutes for the typed completion of a Discharge Summary.
