BASIC FUNCTION: Responsible for evaluation, planning, directing and administering occupational therapy modalities of treatment for residents at our state-of-the-art Care Center. Plans and conducts individualized occupational therapy programs to help residents develop, regain, or maintain their ability to perform daily activities.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Teaches residents skills/techniques and how to use adaptive equipment for participating in activities.
Studies, evaluates, and records activities and progress.
Administers treatments and physical agents in an effort to restore function and prevent disability following injury, surgery, disease, or physical disability.
Must adhere to Rehabilitation Services Department standard practice of strictly practicing traditional and evidence-based medicine and treatment.
Provides services to residents in a long-term care environment.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must have obtained a bachelors, masters, or doctorate degree in occupational therapy at a college or university which has been accredited by the American Occupational Therapy Association, or be scheduled for the board examination.
Must have current license with State of CO. Current BLS (CPR) certification upon initial hire and must maintain through GRHD employment.
Practical experience obtained from previous experience in all aspects of occupational therapy; working experience in a long term care setting preferred.
Ability to maintain good working relationships both within the department and with the other departments.
SALARY INFORMATION:
$40.00 - $48.12 Dependent on Experience
10% differential in addition to base rate salary
Additional $2.00 - $4.00 an hour for additional weekend and night shifts
