Green Chain Production Tasks & Duties (What You'll Do)
Pull green lumber from a sawmill and move it
Apply grade rules to maximize lumber profitability
Ensure lumber produced is within grade parameters to maintain grade reliability
Ensure lumber produced is within expected grade yields and take appropriate action or trouble shooting to correct
Tally pieces of lumber according to grade and board footage
Remove unsatisfactory pieces from conveyor or table and place pieces on stacks, in bins, or on carts

Graveyard 8:30pm 5:00am M-F
Day 5:00am-2:00pm M-F
Swing 4:00pm-2:30am M-F
Weekends clean up 2:00am-3:50pm Sat & Sun
Green Chain Production Qualifications (Requirements / Skills
Able to lift and move green lumber repetitively
Ability to learn in-house proprietary grades
Employee must be able to read and interpret documents such as memos, safety rules, and procedure manuals
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
Ability to work independently, or as part of a small team to accomplish tasks required
Ability and willingness to work safely, and adhere to all safety rules and regulations, including wearing and using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
Able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
Able to work in the US.
