Description:*Summary*
The Field Clinical Specialist assists the Sales team, in an assigned territory, by providing technical, clinical and educational/training support. Responsibilities include but are not limited to; new patient/customer product demonstration/training, patient follow up, and support; assisting RSM’s with sales lead generation and follow up, and partnering with sales team in maintaining and enhancing a strong client relationship. This position will report to the Area Sales Manager and take general instruction from local sales representatives for day to day activities.
*Responsibilities*
* Serves as the primary resource for clinical support in the areas of patient selection, basic troubleshooting, device utilization, and patient follow-up for company products.
* Attends patient device implants and performs patient follow-up to assure success of implantation experience.
* Provides product follow-up and support to patients and physicians on demand.
* Supports sales representatives by meeting with existing and potential clients to identify their clinical needs, goals and constraints related to patient care and to discuss and demonstrate how company products can help them achieve their goals.
* Responds to customer needs and product complaints by developing creative and feasible solutions or collaborating with SPR team members.
* Educates customers on the merits and proper clinical use of company products by giving presentations and demonstrations using a wide variety of formats and platforms (e.g., presentation decks, webinars, e-training, manuals) to keep clinicians and sales representatives abreast of product use, relevant clinical data, and technology developments as well as other information deemed relevant to the industry.
* Ensures facilities have clinical literature.
* Provides support for industry conferences/exhibits as directed.
* Maintains a working knowledge of SPR products, competitive devices, and new or competitive techniques used in neuromodulation.
* Maintains open, effective communication with all personnel, customers and other SPR employees.
* Demonstrates an ability to establish relationships with all pertinent account players, including patients, physicians, nurses, administrators, and the sales representatives supporting these accounts.
* Manages administrative tasks to include timely patient documentation and data collection.
* As position evolves, may formally educate and train physicians and hospital/clinic personnel on technical matters relating to SPR products through conducting and coordinating in-person and remote training to include:
* One-on-one in-services
* Staff in-service educational programs
* Seminars and/or workshops for healthcare facilities
Requirements:
* Minimum Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) in a clinical or related field (Nursing, PT, OT or other in the healthcare/biomedical industry). Will consider other degrees with excellent relative job experience.
* Must have experience working with patients.
* Prefer 3-5 years of related clinical support experience. Neuromodulation experience highly desirable.
* Prior experience in an Operating Room setting strongly preferred.
* Must have a valid driver’s license and good driving record.
* Proven record of achievement in a high-energy, fast-paced environment.
* Excellent interpersonal skills including both written and verbal communication skills.
* Must be flexible for calls outside of normal business hours.
* Related experience in the medical device industry.
