Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care, including triage, tube feeding, and performing physical examinations.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.
- Assist with procedures such as Botox injections, gastric lavage, and suturing.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement care plans for patients.
- Monitor and document patient progress, symptoms, and vital signs.
- Educate patients and their families on health conditions, treatments, and preventive measures.
- Provide health coaching and support to patients in managing chronic conditions.
- Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with documentation standards.
- Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a clean and safe environment.
Qualifications:
- Valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in [state].
- Knowledge of medical terminology and proficiency in performing nursing procedures.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing patient needs and work schedules.
- Demonstrated ability to provide compassionate care while maintaining professionalism.
