Summary of Job Duties: The Education Coordinator is a Registered Nurse who teaches and evaluates nurses, healthcare aides and other disciplines on organizational training and competency program, conducts in-service training, continuing education, competencies at orientation, and other related training functions. This person will administer and organize programs to meet organizational needs and regulatory requirements. Additionally, the Education Coordinator maintain accurate documentation of educational records. This position does require local travel throughout the Community LIFE service area (mileage is reimbursed).
Schedule: Monday – Friday 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM pm
Location: Forest Hills, PA (15221). Up to daily local travel is required.
Required Education & Experience: Graduate of an accredited nursing school with at least five years of experience working with a frail, elderly population and at least one year of related experience teaching patients and other health care workers. Experience with Interdisciplinary Team care management and principles of managed care. Experience with data collection and reporting and general knowledge of the health delivery system.
Required Certifications and Licensure: Licensed Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania. Valid Driver’s License.
