We are currently recruiting an *Ultrasound Technician-Part Time* to help us continue our tradition of delivering quality OB/GYN care at our location in *Ft. Wayne**, IN* for our *Women's Specialty Care Center*. This position is three days per week during regular business hours.
*Job Description:*
* Provides ultrasound diagnostic services as directed by physicians including scheduling, patient care during procedure and communication with patients.
* Performs routine and diagnostic ultrasound images.
* Interacts with physicians and other technical staff to provide quality, safe and efficient care for the patient.
* Follows guidelines for probe handling and infection control.
* Follows examination protocols under the guidance of the physicians on duty.
* Oversees patient scheduling.
* Explains procedures to assure cooperation and optimum test results.
* Positions patients, selects appropriate transducers and machine settings.
* Conducts scanning procedures.
* Ensures maintenance on ultrasound equipment.
* Orders and stocks all ultrasound supplies.
* Maintains all ultrasound records, reports and files.
* Demonstrates flexibility and responsiveness in handling all customer interactions.
* Performs all other duties as may be assigned from time-to-time.
Requirements:
* Graduate of a accredited US program
* One to two years of OBGYN experience
* ARDMS-OBGYN preferred or obtained within the first year
