Responsibilities:
Assumes responsibility for the ethical and cost effective management, delivery, documentation, outcomes and communication of patient care within the scope of practice of their respective disciplines. This position requires population specific competencies. A
dheres to National Patient Safety Goals as appropriate based on the level of patient contact this position requires.
Performs initial and ongoing assessments of patient's condition and establishes a plan of care as appropriate.
Provides therapeutic interventions appropriate to the age and disability of the patient.
Provides timely documentation of delivery of occupational therapy services provided to patients.
Educates patients, family, caregivers, significant others and staff members as needed to provide care to patients served.
Directs and supervises activities of Occupational Therapy Assistants, students, and support personnel.

Qualifications:
Education
Bachelor’s degree of Science in Occupational Therapy..
Licensure / Certification
Licensed as an Occupational Therapist by the Oklahoma State Board of Medical Examiners or a graduate OT eligible for Oklahoma licensure/temporary license.
Basic Life Support (BLS) training or re-training is required during orientation prior to providing patient care.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to be maintained thru re-training for duration of employment.
Compensation
$33.87 - $ 55.31 /hr based on previous work experience
