NURSE DIRECTOR (RN), BEHAVIORAL HEALTH SERVICES

Signet Health, a long-time national behavioral health management company, is recruiting an experienced Nurse Director to manage a 16-bed geriatric unit at CHI St. Vincent Infirmary, Little Rock, AR. We seek a seasoned and dynamic professional with related management experience to oversee our hospital-based, behavioral health inpatient department.
This is a highly visible position with strategic responsibility, working collaboratively with Signet Health and hospital leadership to create a respected and cohesive program to serve the community.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Designs, directs, and oversees the nursing practice for the delivery of services to patients and families.
Responsible for delivery of quality care and ongoing quality improvement efforts. Assists with quality management hospital-wide. Monitors patient outcomes and develops corrective action as needed.
Directs personnel actions related to areas of responsibility including, but not limited to, hiring, performance management, staff development, etc. Oversees recruitment and performance management for nursing leaders within the scope of responsibility.
Directs development and implementation of quality and utilization standards across the continuum of care to ensure coordinated plans of treatment, patient-focused delivery of services, and cost-effective utilization of necessary services.
Formulates and implements hospital and departmental goals for assigned areas. Integrates goals with overall hospital strategies, operations, objectives and plans.
Serves as a resource in the area of geropsychiatric expertise within the facility. Maintains effective working relationships, communication, and collaborative decision making with members of the medical staff, other departments, leadership staff, employees, community, and others.
Provides leadership and effective interdisciplinary personnel management by maintaining and evaluating employee performance and providing opportunities for staff development.
Develops base staffing patterns for each area ensuring sufficiently qualified nursing staff to meet patient care needs while maintaining productivity.
Supervises employees to ensure quality work.
Responsible for accurate and timely delivery of various reports including staff schedules, payroll, labor productivity, audits, incident reports, and others as assigned.
Utilizes clinical/quality metrics to implement clinical changes & the delivery of patient care. Develops and supports a shared governance structure. Assures staff participation in department and organizational nursing structures.
Partners with Finance with preparation and evaluation of annual budgets. at supply inventories are adequately maintained to provide quality and continuity of care.
OTHER FUNCTIONS:
Maintains a spirit of inquiry utilizing nursing evidenced-based practice findings and research methodologies to improve the care delivered.
Current knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served.
Ensures ancillary departments support the unit’s overall objectives and patient care.
Leads the organization in maintaining and achieving licensure, regulatory and accreditation standards.
Participates in community activities on behalf of the hospital. Assists in community health events and education as needed.
Maintains compliance with all company policies, procedures and standards of conduct as well as regulatory visit readiness.
Complies with HIPAA privacy and security requirements to maintain confidentiality at all times.
Signet Health offers generous compensation ranging from $110,000 - $120,000 and benefits package, along with relocation assistance.

Master's Degree in Nursing preferred, BSN required
5+ years leading a successful and profitable inpatient behavioral health program
Working knowledge of State, CMS, and TJC accreditation standards
