_*This is a full time Director of Pharmacy, responsible for the daily operations of all Pharmacy services and staff at Oro Valley Hospital. *_
As an organization leader, this position shares accountability for facilitating organizational and department goals using effective leadership knowledge, skills and abilities that ensure achievement of expected results for patient/customer service, employee engagement, financial health, business growth and quality and safety outcomes.
Directs, establishes, and plans the overall policies and goals for a hospital's pharmacy services. Maintains contact with other department heads, medical staff, and nursing staff to determine needs, resolve problems, improve processes and promote effective drug therapy. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
*Education*
*Required:* Master's degree or Doctor of Pharmacy degree from accredited college of pharmacy.
*Experience*
*Required:* Completion of ASHP accredited pharmacy residency. Ten (10) years pharmacist experience, including two (2) years as director/manager of community hospital pharmacy.
*Licences/Certifications*
*Required: *Current pharmacy license from the state of Arizona. American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross(ARC) or American Safety and Health Institute (ASHI) BLS and ACLS.
