What You’ll Do:
Responsible for patient care under the direction and supervision of a licensed physical therapist as mandated by State Practice Act. Possesses training and education which allows him/her to assist the Physical Therapist in carrying out prescribed treatment program.
Responsibilities:
Utilize time efficiently to meet productivity requirements of the facility.
Participate in and present clinical in-services, as directed.
Maintain current awareness of general changes in health care field and specific issues impacting the practice of physical therapy.
Play a significant role in specific area of center operations as agreed upon between employee and Center Manager.
Performs other duties or special projects as assigned.
What You Bring:
Graduation from a physical therapist assistant or physical therapist education program accredited by CAPTE or in the case of a graduate of an international physical therapist assistant program or international physical therapist program from a non-CAPTE accredited program seeking licensure, certification, or registration as a physical therapist assistant, a substantially equivalent education.
Current valid State license/registration/certification.

Ability to work effectively as a team member.
Effective organizational, time management, and planning skills.
Active listening, reading and comprehension skills for analyzing reports, charts and correspondence.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift patients using biomedical techniques frequently throughout the course of a work day/shift; must be capable of easily lifting fifty (50) pounds of weight alone.
Ability to walk, bend, stand, and reach constantly during a work day/shift.
Visual acuity (near and distant) sufficient to maintain accurate records, recognize people, and understand written direction.
Ability to speak and hear sufficiently to understand and give directions.
Ability to push wheeled equipment throughout the facility and in the community.
Fine motor skills adequate for scheduling and preparing patients, equipment, and supplies for treatment.
Ability to participate in sustained activities for many hours in duration in accordance with state labor laws.
