2. Monday through Friday 6pm to 2:30 am 15% shift differential offered
3. Tuesday through Saturday 7am to 3:30pm with 1 week a month Tuesday through Saturday 12pm to 8:30 pm 10%shift differential offered

Summary
We are seeking regular, full-time Forensic/Clinical Lab Technician to work in our LCMS 3 department. The incumbent will assist in preparing and analyzing biological specimens for drugs or other compounds.
Duties Include
Handles biological specimens
Retains specimens in suitable storage area
Follows chain of custody procedures
Prepares samples for testing
Generates pre-analytical reports for specimen analysis
Prepares and validates reagents, controls and calibrators
Performs analytical testing under supervision
May enter results in LIMS (varies by department)
Performs routine instrument maintenance
Performs basic instrument troubleshooting
Documents quality control data and takes appropriate corrective action
Independently performs analytical testing
Performs directed method validation
Discards all chemicals and biological materials properly
Participates in projects and kaizens
Maintains regular and reliable attendance
Other duties as assigned
Education Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Chemical, Physical, or Biological Science
Degree must be in a chemical, physical, biological science, or forensic science from an accredited university
Minimum of 22 semester credit hours in college-level chemistry coursework including coursework and labs:
General Chemistry I & II (8 credits)
Organic Chemistry I & II (8 credits)
Two, 3-semester hr courses from the following possibilities: Analytical Chemistry, Chemical Informatics, Instrumental Analysis, Mass Spectrometry, Quantitative Analysis, Separation Science, Spectroscopic Analysis, Biochemistry, Drug Metabolism, Forensic Toxicology, Medicinal Chemistry, Pharmacology, Physiology, Toxicology; Physical Chemistry I & II along with any chemistry course labeled as CHEM or CHE on the transcript.

Movement from one work location to another
Sitting and standing, sometimes for extended periods of time
Lifting objects up to 20 lbs.
Ability to travel as needed for court testimony.
Exposure to intermittent or constant sounds generated by equipment
