About ECU Health Edgecombe Hospital
ECU Health Edgecombe Hospital is a full-service, 117-bed acute care facility where residents of Tarboro and the surrounding communities can receive a wide range of health services close to home. As part of the ECU Health system of care, the hospital offers high quality care provided by more than 20 medical specialists, rehabilitation services, a birthing center, a cancer center, outpatient clinics and more.
Position Summary
The Surgical Technologist maintains the integrity, safety and efficiency of the sterile field throughout surgical procedures. You will prepare and arrange instruments and supplies, assist the surgeon and assistants throughout the operation by providing sterile instruments and supplies, and attend educational programs and staff orientation which promote personal and professional development. Participates in Service Excellence Program.
Minimum Requirements
Graduation from an approved Surgical Technology Program, Certification from a Military Program, or Graduated from an accredited Nursing Program RN/LPN
American Heart Association BLS certification
2 - 5 years of experiences
Other Information
40 hours a week
Monday - Friday (6:30 am - 3:08 pm)
Required to work 1 to 2 Overnight On-Call Shifts per week & 1 weekend On-Call Shift every 4 weeks
