As we continue to grow, we are seeking a competent accounts assistant to join our dynamic finance team based at our HQ in Liphook.
Reporting to the Senior accountant, you will be a highly organised individual with the ability to follow procedure, able to multitask in a busy environment and be an excellent communicator with strong computer literacy and Excel capabilities.
Key responsibilities include:
Prepare accurate and timely management accounts, and variance analysis to budget and forecasts.
Manage Asset management system and ensure ongoing compliance with audit regulations
Managing customer direct debits and billing process
Support with production of monthly payroll
Process expenses for all employees
Processing supplier invoices with accuracy in a timely manner
Bank reconciliations
Credit control ensuring schools and parents pay on a timely basis
Skills and experience
Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a fast-growing environment
Accountancy qualification or working towards such as AAT/ACCA/CIMA
Good IT Proficiency (Outlook, Excel, Word,)
Excellent customer service skills
Good attention to detail
Ability to keep track of a workload
Comfortable working in periodic cycles
Ability to spot areas for process improvement
Experience with Xero would be an advantage
Experience with direct debit management would be an advantage
