PURPOSE
We are seeking a dynamic, energized and experienced individual (3-5 years) in a similar role who holds a BComm (Financial Accounting) or Advanced diploma in Financial Management . Proficiency in Quickbooks, other financial packages and Microsoft Office are essential. Strong reconciliation skills. strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy are key requirements for this role. This is an excellent opportunity for a focused and mature individual to contribute to a dynamic and growing manufacturing company.
The aim of this position is to establish a proper financial process and setting up a successful collaboration between the Financial Accountant and Financial Administrator.
EDUCATION:
· BComm Degree or Advance Diploma in Financial Accounting
· AGA (SA), SAIPA, or other SAICA membership advantageous
EXPERIENCE:
· 2-5 years proven experience in a similar role, preferably within an SME environment.
· Proficiency in Accounting Software – QuickBooks Online and other financial accounting packages will secure.
· Advance Excel skills.
· Experience in the import and export sector is advantageous.
SKILL:
· Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and financial regulations.
· Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
· Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
· Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
· Develop and implement proper financial processes and procedures.
· Managing company's financial data and reports
TAX AND COMPLIANCE
· Assisting with the preparation and submission of Provisional Tax, Income Tax
· Personal Income Tax.
· Preparing VAT Reports for submission to the External Accountants.
· Beneficial to understand VAT on Imports and Exports with SAD 500, HS codes etc to advise Clients on VAT and possible Duties.
· Filing CIPC Annual Returns.
o ACCOUNTS PAYABLE AND ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE
· Oversee the Process of invoices, payments, and receipts.
· Monitor accounts receivable and payables, with bi-weekly reporting.
*TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT: Provide training and guidance to the Financial Administrator to ensure a smooth transition and knowledge transfer.
* BUDGETING AND FORECASTING: Develop and maintain a comprehensive budgeting and forecasting process
* FINANCIAL ANALYSIS: Provide insightful financial analysis to support business decision-making.
* ADHOC AND ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT
· Assist with ad-hoc duties as requested by management.
· Related administration duties and support
* LOGISTICS: · Liaise with Logistics company on status of shipments and information required.
SALARY BRACKET: R25 000,00 - R35 000,00 per month dependent on qualification and experience.
This role requires the incumbent to be present at the office daily. Working hours Monday - Friday 08:00am - 17:00pm
