We're looking for a Financial Accountant to join our dynamic team at our Oude Westhof Office in the Northern Suburbs, Cape Town.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
As our Financial Accountant, you'll manage and maintain company records, focus on Fixed Assets, Insurance and Stock. You will also assist with the monthly Management Reports, all VAT related duties for the Group. Finally, you will provide support to Finance Manager, Creditor clerk and other Accountants with regards to audits and other accounting functions.
Responsibilities include:
- Fixed Assets and Stock.
- Bank management and Fleet Cards and Credit Cards.
- Month-end reporting and communication with teams on recharges, expenses and sales.
- VAT for the Group.
- Balance Sheet reconciliations and Tax provisions.
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU
To be considered for this position, these are the skills we’re looking for:
- Matric/Grade 12 with Math's and Accounting
- BCom Accounting Degree or relevant degree
- SAIPA Articles advantageous
- 2 years’ experience working on well-known accounting package (preferably ERP system).
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in an Accountant or similar position
- Knowledge of IFRS and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
- Knowledge of Income tax and VAT Laws
- Knowledge of Company laws
- Knowledge of SA Foreign Exchange laws
- Knowledge of insurance practices
