As an IT Business Analyst, you will serve as a vital link between our business needs and IT solutions, driving the development and implementation of technology initiatives that support organizational goals. In this role, you will analyze business requirements, identify improvement opportunities, and document project specifications. Your skills in data interpretation and communication will ensure seamless collaboration between business stakeholders and IT teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Requirements Gathering: Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their objectives and challenges. Collect, document, and analyze comprehensive business requirements for IT projects, processes, and system enhancements.
- Business Process Analysis: Assess current workflows and processes to uncover inefficiencies. Design improved processes in collaboration with stakeholders, adhering to industry best practices and organizational goals.
- Solution Design: Translate business requirements into actionable technical specifications. Partner with software developers, system architects, and IT teams to create innovative solutions that address business needs effectively.
- Project Management Support: Assist in project planning, scoping, and estimation. Collaborate with the Project Manager to track project progress, mitigate risks, and ensure timely delivery of IT solutions.
- Data Analysis: Extract and analyze data from multiple sources to identify trends and performance insights. Present findings clearly to support informed decision-making.
- User Acceptance Testing (UAT): Develop UAT plans and coordinate testing with business users to confirm solutions meet requirements and are user-friendly.
- Change Management: Facilitate the adoption of new IT solutions by collaborating with stakeholders, creating training materials, and conducting end-user training sessions.
- Stakeholder Communication: Act as a bridge between business stakeholders and IT teams, ensuring a shared understanding of requirements and seamless collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.
- Technology Evaluation: Keep up-to-date with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices. Work with Group Architects to evaluate potential IT solutions and recommend options that align with business needs and technical feasibility.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- 4 years of experience as a Business Analyst in IT projects, demonstrating successful project delivery.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and generate actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with stakeholders across all levels.
- Proficiency in business analysis methodologies, including process modeling, data analysis, and requirements elicitation.
- Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies.
- Knowledge of software development lifecycles (SDLC) and delivery approaches (e.g., waterfall, agile).
- Understanding of IT infrastructure, databases, and software applications.
- Certification in business analysis (e.g., CBAP, CCBA) is an advantage.
