An exciting opportunity exists at Nampak Metals-Springs for a QA Auditor. This position reports directly to the QA Technologist and is graded at Peromnes 10.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide weekly process capability, CTQ, Trend analysis, and customer reports.
- Liaise with Engineering and Production to ensure CTQ parameters are within specification.
- Accurate and timely drafting of various reports (daily, weekly and monthly) and sending to appropriate people.
- Conduct process and systems audits based on FSSC 22000 requirements.
- Verification of all Quality checks, to ensure they are conducted as defined in the quality plan.
- Review checks conducted and ensure that test results are transferred to Datalyser.
- Management and calibration (external & internal) of gauges and testing equipment.
- Raising and closing out assigned NCR’s (Non-Conformance Reports) on Q-Pulse timeously.
- Providing on-the-job training for all Canmakers using quality system documentation.
- Support trials for raw materials as and when required.
- Raising NCR’s for non-conforming raw material for supplier corrective action.
- Management and control of documents and procedures on Q-Pulse.
- Implementing of corrective actions and solving of issues raised on the QAR.
- Maintaining 5S and Housekeeping Standards in the QA Labs and QA Office.
- Contribute to the Manufacturing Excellence Program to drive Continuous Improvement in the plant.
- Maintaining and implementing the Food Safety Management System (FSSC 22000).
To excel in this role, the ideal candidate should possess:
- Relevant National Diploma or Degree in Food Science and/or Food Technology, Chemical Engineering and other related Quality Management Qualification.
- 2 years’ experience in an auditing, quality control and/or quality assurance role.
- Knowledge of Statistical Process Control.
- Must have Quality & Food Safety System knowledge.
- Demonstrate confidence, good communication skills and quality knowledge/experience.
- Must be able to work independently and under pressure.
- Must be computer literate.
- Must be able to work overtime if and when required.
