Key Responsibilities:
1. BBBEE Compliance and Strategy Implementation:
- Maintain the companys BBBEE scorecard and monitor progress.
- Assist in implementing strategies to improve BBBEE compliance.
- Support internal stakeholders with BBBEE-related initiatives.
2. Data Collection and Reporting:
- Gather and verify BBBEE-related data (employment equity, procurement, skills development, etc.).
- Prepare and submit BBBEE verification documents and reports to auditors.
- Maintain up-to-date records for annual verification audits.
3. Stakeholder Engagement:
- Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain relevant BBBEE compliance documentation.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with verification agencies, consultants, and government authorities.
4. Training and Development:
- Assist with planning and implementing training initiatives aligned with BBBEE requirements.
- Ensure compliance with skills development requirements and track progress.
5. Procurement and Supplier Development:
- Collaborate with the procurement team to identify and onboard BBBEE-compliant suppliers.
- Ensure compliance with preferential procurement guidelines.
6. Employment Equity and Social Responsibility:
- Support the HR team with employment equity plans and initiatives.
- Assist in developing and managing socio-economic development (SED) programs.
Qualifications and Experience:
- National Diploma or Degree in Business Administration, Compliance, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in BBBEE compliance, preferably in the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of BBBEE codes, construction sector codes, and related legislation.
- Familiarity with employment equity, skills development, and preferential procurement.
