The ideal candidate would be responsible for:
- Perform routine and scheduled maintenance within the Logistics department;
- Complete and maintain work, service, and preventative maintenance schedules;
- Carry out Inspections and Risk Assessments;
- Report and investigate breakdowns and repairs on damages;
- Repairs and maintenance of the assets, equipment, and machinery within the logistics and factory shop divisions;
- Managing, assisting, and developing new installations or resources to improve the division's function increasing efficiency or reducing costs;
- Maintain and manage the repairs and maintenance budget and forecast;
- Maintain, implement, participate, and drive 20 keys as part of daily operations;
- Comply with all risk, HASSAP, and other requirements as indicated by the company.
The successful candidate must meet the following requirements:
- Millwright trade certificate (Section 13 and served apprenticeship).
- Minimum N4 qualification mechanical and electrical theory.
- N6 Diploma Electrical and Wireman’s certificate advantageous.
- PLC and VSDs certificate and experience advantageous.
- Ammonia refrigeration experience with CAT A certification advantageous.
- At least 5 years’ experience as an Artisan in a Poultry/Food factory environment.
- Must be computer literate;
- Must be able to work overtime, shifts, stand-by, weekends and Public Holidays
- Must have own reliable transport;
