What you’ll do:
- Compiling functional design specifications.
- Providing technical assistance to Business Development.
- Designing Energy and Power Meter frameworks.
- EMS, AMR system design and commissioning.
- Factory Acceptance Testing of Metering systems.
- Quality assurance and control with particular emphasis on conformance to customer specifications
- Supporting field technicians.
- Attending to client’s queries and supports.
- Configuring hardware (servers, switches, gateways, power meters).
- Performing standard daily checks on customer AMR/EMS systems.
- Performing standard month-end tasks for customers contracted according to specific service level agreements (SLAs).
- Attending to any other reasonable tasks given.
Your expertise:
- Function related experience: 4 - 7 years’ experience as an electrical engineer (preference will be given to engineers with experience in EMS/AMR systems and general electrical metering).
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- In depth understanding of Microsoft SQL Server.
- In depth understanding of 3-phase electrical systems.
- Strong technical documents writing skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate with team members.
- Ability to manage and interact with subcontractors and suppliers.
Qualifications:
- Matric Certificate
- Electrical / Electronic Engineering Degree
- Qualifications preferred: Â Â
- Post graduate qualification in Engineering (Electrical)
- Registered with ECSA as a Professional/Candidate
- Power Quality Analysis background
- Basic knowledge of Schneider Electric PME project deployment will be advantageous.
