Position Summary: An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced HGV Technician to join our Hoddesdon bodyshop. This is a full-time, permanent role paying up to £50,000 per annum.
As an HGV Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing and maintaining a variety of HGVs. You will work closely with the team to ensure that all vehicles meet safety standards and are repaired to the highest quality.
HGV Technician Duties and Responsibilities:

Perform inspects, diagnostics and repairs on a range of HGVs, including bodywork, mechanical repairs on engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems.

Identify and troubleshoot issues with vehicles, providing accurate reports and recommendations to management.

Conduct routine maintenance and servicing of HGVs in accordance with manufacturer specifications.

Keep accurate records of work performed and parts used, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.

Maintain a clean and organised workspace adhering to health and safety regulations.
HGV Technician Qualifications and Experience:

Proven experience as an HGV Technician/MET or similar role, with a strong background in vehicle repair and maintenance.

Strong knowledge of HGV systems, components and repair techniques.

Qualifications in vehicle maintenance or engineering (e.g., NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).

Ability to use diagnostic equipment and tools effectively.

A valid UK driving license (HGV license is a plus)
