Graduate Technologist
Our client who is a leading food manufacturer are offering a graduate role within their technical team. This position is crucial for ensuring all of their products—whether grown, sourced, processed, or packaged—meets stringent standards for legality, safety, quality, ethics, and sustainability.
Responsibilities in this role are expansive. The successful candidate will engage with suppliers worldwide as well as major UK retailers, receiving comprehensive training and development. Frequent national and international travel is required for auditing and visiting suppliers.
Key tasks include:

Evaluating product quality and understanding seasonal variations

Maintaining supplier records within our due diligence system

Engaging with our supply base on ethical, sustainability, and quality initiatives, and documenting developments

Generating internal reports for stakeholders using MWW systems

Contributing to internal audits

Attending and supporting customer meetings
-
Managing customer specifications and communication across relevant parties
-
Acting as a product specialist and contributing to new product development
-
Preparing samples and conducting benchmarking

Providing monthly summaries of internal and external KPIs

Undertaking any other duties as necessary
Ideal candidate;

Excellent written and verbal communication skills
-
Proficient in Microsoft packages and ideally an advanced Excel user
-
Hold a full, clean driving license.
Hours of work;
Monday to Friday 8am-5pm
