Polytec are looking for a Production Planner for our client based in Ely to ensure continuous supply of manufactured items using scheduling production plans matching capacity and demand.
Responsibilities:
- Generate and maintain a detailed production plan
- Daily review meetings
- Overseeing the release of production work in the absence of managers
- Monitor capacity utilisation initiating supply chain related corrective actions
- Respond to Lead Time and Delivery Update requests
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives following PDCA or lean principles by conducting root cause analysis
- Have awareness of ongoing projects and NPI release dates, ensuring a smooth transition to production
- Collaborative working with other internal teams to ensure uninterrupted flow of goods
Requirements:
- Planning production operations experience and confidence using ERP systems (AX 2012 or D365)
- Continuous improvement and/or lean activity experience
- Collaborative worker
- Flexible working hours to ensure seamless onsite production scheduling support
- CPIM would be beneficial
- Competent user of MS Office with confident Excel abilities
- Strong analytical skills
