Salary: R20,000 to R30,000 CTC per month

A leading tech company specializing in battery technology, renewable energy, and remote monitoring is looking for a skilled Procurement and Logistics Officer to join their team. This role is essential to ensuring seamless operations by managing sourcing, vendor relationships, inventory, and logistics. You will handle both local and international logistics, manage import/export documentation, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to align operations with business goals.
Minimum Requirements:
• Diploma or degree in Procurement, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Familiarity with INCO terms and compliance standards (e.g., PVOC).
• Knowledge of air and shipping transport logistics is advantageous.
• Experience in the telecommunications industry is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Understanding of supply chain management principles.
• Attention to detail and a proactive problem-solving approach.
• Ability to multitask, work under pressure, and meet tight deadlines.
• Comfortable working in an office environment with occasional field visits to suppliers or meetings.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Procurement:
• Source and procure equipment, materials, and services to support business operations.
• Ensure cost efficiency, quality compliance, and timely delivery of goods.
• Manage vendor relationships, addressing order delays and ensuring contract compliance.
• Provide detailed costing information for management decisions.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the manufacturing team to prevent disruptions.
• Request supplier quotations and generate purchase orders.
Logistics:
• Prepare and manage documentation for exports and imports, including compliance certifications.
• Expedite orders, proactively resolving potential delays with suppliers and freight agents.
• Oversee local transportation and handle ad hoc imports.
• Generate status updates and logistics performance reports.
