The ideal candidate will be responsible for working with senior management to develop financial strategies for the organization. You are comfortable handling large amounts of data, acting as a business partner, decision maker, and providing regular financial reporting.
REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POSITION:
•A relevant 3 year B Com degree or diploma or equivalent NQF level 7 qualification is essential.
•A SAIPA qualification or related NQF level 8 qualification is preferable.
•A minimum of 5 years’ financial management experience.
•Previous experience in development of financial reporting.
•Previous experience in drafting financial statements.
•Previous experience in dealing with VAT and income tax matters.
•Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
•Knowledge of Sage Accounting and Payroll
•Knowledge of financial planning at all levels.
•Knowledge of performance measurement and analysis.
•Intermediate to advanced computer knowledge.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
•Produce accurate and timeous financial and management analysis and reporting daily, weekly and monthly as per reporting requirements
•Analyse and report on balance sheet reconciliations, impairment of assets, recoverability of debtors, and management of creditors, liabilities and loans monthly
•Prepare management accounts monthly, budgets quarterly and cash flow forecasts monthly.
•Manage cash flow effectively
•Monitor and manage debtors
•Monitor and manage hospital procurement
•Preparation of year end audit, tax and disclosure data.
•Analyse and report on expense and budget variances monthly
•Evaluate operational and financial reports to improve accuracy and relevancy.
•Evaluate financial processes and implement corrective action to ensure adherence to all relevant accounting standards and internal controls.
•Review general ledgers and sub-ledgers monthly
•Ensure VAT, Income Tax, PAYE and all other tax compliance
•Review the maintenance of CAPEX bi-annually and the fixed asset register monthly, including critical asset register
•Management of service level agreements financial aspects
•Review monthly stock audit results and implement corrective action were necessary
•Review and analyze payroll monthly
•Produce weekly and monthly operational reports required by HM
•Plan BEE audit and improve rating annually
•Plan and perform routine internal audits in all hospital departments
