A recent professional profile photo is to accompany your application EMPLOYMENT TYPE : Permanent SECTOR : Retail BASIC SALARY : Market related START DATE : A.S.A.P / Immediate REQUIREMENTS: Matric 5 years of Sales Experience as well as solid homeware retail product experience 2 years in an Assistant Manager/Manager role Valid Drivers License Able to maintain consistent, punctual, and reliable attendance High energy levels and strong focus DUTIES: Maximize sales and control expenses Stock control and stock take weekly Complete store operational requirements by: Scheduling and assigning employees Following up on work results Maintain store staff by recruiting, selecting, orientating and training employees Maintain store staff results by coaching, counseling and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring and appraising job results Prepare annual budget; schedule expenditures; analyze variances; initiate corrective actions Identify current and future customer requirements by establishing rapport with potential and actual customers and other persons in a position to understand service requirements Ensure availability of merchandise and services by approving contracts; maintaining inventories Secure merchandise by monitoring security systems and measures Protect employees and customers by providing a safe and clean store environment Maintain the stability and reputation of the store by complying with legal requirements Set up effective marketing displays for the sales floor and store windows Manage all controllable costs to keep operations profitable Analyze sales figures and forecast future sales Analyze and interpret trends to facilitate planning Respond to customer complaints and comments Maintain awareness of market trends in the retail industry, understanding forthcoming customer initiatives and monitoring what local competitors are doing Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures Any other duties as and when may be required by Supervisor HOURS: Monday to Friday: 08:00 16:30 or Monday to Friday: 08:30 17:00 Shift work Should you meet all the requirements, apply on our website at today.
