A position for Specialist Investment and Grants reporting to the Divisional Head Business Development and Operations has opened at UWS, and qualified candidates are invited to apply for this strategic role, as outlined below.
Purpose of the Job : To support UWS in the development of investment, grants and donor policy and procedure.
- To support the development of donor applications, proposals, and reports, as well as ensuring donor compliance and quality control.
- To contribute to the development and revision of funding proposals, budgets, and donor reports.
- To research and analyze investment and funding opportunities in the water and sanitation sector.
- To monitor and analyze trends that lead to potential revenue growth opportunities for UWS.
- To continuously update UWS business plan and business canvass, while monitoring performance.

Minimum Qualifications :
- Matric with Bachelor's degree in commerce or finance NQF 7
- Postgraduate qualification in Business Management or Development Finance NQF 8
- MBA, master's degree in development finance.
Minimum Experience :
- A minimum of 5 years experience in the Financial and/or Local Economic Development Sector or similar environment, of which 3 years should be at the middle management level.
- Fair understanding of the water and sanitation sector.
- Good understanding of both private and public sector.
- Proven experience in local and international fundraising.
- Project Management experience.
