Main Purpose: Perform installations, inspections and maintenance on all heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration equipment, ensuring reliability and compliance to standards.
Key Performance Areas:
- The usage of all HVACR (heating, ventilation, air-conditioning and refrigeration) materials, equipment and tools required for installation and diagnostic tasks.
- Fully interpret and understand drawings, technical diagrams and specification charts required for installation and work repair.
- Apply theories and processes for evaluating and installing electrical system and control gear.
- Follow procedure for the installation, inspection, testing, repairing and maintaining HVACR systems.
- Follow government regulations regarding the conservation, recovery and recycling of refrigerants and obsolete electronic components.
- Use information from manuals or vendors to assist with the diagnosing of problems and repair of equipment.
- Complete job cards on installed, maintained, repaired, inspected and tested equipment.
- Perform any other duties that may be required from time to time that are reasonable and within capacity.

Preferred Requirements:
- Grade 12 (with Mathematics, Physical Science) and/or N3 Electrical Technical Qualification.
- Qualified as an Air Conditioner Technician.
- 3 Years’ relevant work experience.
- Knowledge of and skills in all HVACR installations and maintenance procedures.
- Knowledge of tools; including how to maintain, repair, order parts, proper usage, etc.
- Safety oriented with knowledge of risk assessments, method statements and work procedures.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Computer literate (MS Office).
