Required Skills and Competencies
- Knowledge and experience in project management and execution of projects using advanced and digital project tools.
- Experience in business process reengineering methodologies.
- Development and design of policy frameworks and guidelines.
- Knowledge and experience in developing strategic plans, operational strategies, and monitoring.
- Knowledge and extensive experience in Risk Management.
- Experience in conducting research and managing technical committees.
- Experience in stakeholder engagement.
- Proven track record of working in the public sector and collaborating with Public, Private, and Non-Governmental Organizations.
- Ability to perform multiple tasks and work under pressure with a wide range of individuals and institutions.
- Maintain confidentiality at the highest level at all times.
- Proficiency in one of the AU official working languages (French, English, Portuguese, Arabic) and fluency in another AU language(s) is an added advantage.
- Ability to work in a multi-cultural and multi-national environment.
Education and Experience
Candidates must have a Master's degree in Public Health, Public Policy, Social Sciences, International Relations, Development Studies, or a related field plus a minimum of seven (7) years of relevant work experience, of which three (3) years should be at a supervisory level within public sector institutions or similar organizations nationally, regionally, and/or continentally.
Or a Bachelor's Degree in Public Health, Public Policy, Social Sciences, International Relations, Development Studies, or a related field plus a minimum of ten (10) years of relevant work experience within public sector institutions or similar organizations nationally, regionally, and/or continentally.
