JOB TITLE: Associate Project Manager - HYBRID
Salary: £24,500 per annum
Hours: 35 hours per week
Duration: 2 to 4 years whilst studying towards a qualification from Level 3 (equivalent to A-level) to Level 6 (equivalent to a degree)

About the team:
The Cloud Project Management Office is responsible for receiving, planning, resourcing, and delegating cloud professional service engagements (projects) to our cloud project managers. As a member of this team, you will play a crucial role in supporting on project delivery: on time, within scope, on budget, and to the customer's satisfaction.
You will work collaboratively with the project managers and technical solutions teams, utilizing our standard project management approach (ISO9001 certified). Your focus will be on supporting the project management lifecycle, from handling new project intake to monitoring and reporting on the overall project portfolio.
In this amazing role, you will get involved with:
Coordinating New Cloud Projects: Manage and streamline processes for all new cloud professional services projects.
Project Assignment and Delegation: Assign and delegate tasks efficiently, ensuring adherence to agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
Portfolio Monitoring and Reporting: Oversee the project portfolio, providing regular reviews and reports to senior leaders within the team
Your main areas of responsibilities will include:
Establishing project teams, agreeing, and directing activities, motivating, and managing resources and ensuring that responsibilities for tasks are clearly communicated, actioned, and completed in time.
Creating and maintaining project documentation, both for Jisc and for project stakeholders.
Tracking, and reporting progress and ensuring that agreed milestones are completed to specified date.
Acting quickly in the event of a challenge or a threat to project success.
Communicating well, keeping expectations in check, and priorities in order so everyone understands their role in the project’s success, including the customer.
Gathering feedback across the project team and share back with the team, to identify new opportunities, improvements and celebrate successes.
Key Skills and Experience (we recognise you may not have all of these skills from the start, but we want to see that you’re willing to learn):
Essential Awareness: Understanding of the stages of the project management lifecycle is essential
Multitasking Ability: Capable of handling multiple tasks concurrently, meeting deadlines without compromising quality.
Project Evaluation: Confidence to identify when a project is failing or not meeting its objectives.
Collaborative Work: Experience working with people across various disciplines and seniority levels, primarily in a remote environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Competent in using Microsoft Office applications for project, task, and communication management.
Key Skills Understanding: Awareness of the essential skills for a successful project manager and being able to self-assess your progress
Customer Focus: Strong customer-oriented approach.
Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and quality in work.
Time Management: Efficient organizational and time management skills.

Proactive Learning: Confidence to ask questions and address knowledge gaps.
Teamwork: Effective teamworking skills, especially in a remote setting.
Educational Requirements: GCSE grades A-C in English and Maths.

We receive your application and review it in line with our requirements for the role
You will be notified via email if you have been either shortlisted or not eligible for the next stage
A member of the Jisc Talent Acquisition team will be in touch to arrange an initial chat with you if shortlisted
You will then be asked to record a short video responding to a choice of scenarios allowing us to get to know you better
Thereafter you will be invited to an online interview with one of our line managers and a member of the Talent acquisition team or you will be contacted to advise you have not been selected
