We are seeking a Trainee Animal Technician for our client located in London. This full-time, permanent position which offers a starting salary of £22,308 and is available for an immediate start.
As a Trainee Animal Technician, you are responsible for the health and welfare of the animals in the laboratory.
Key Responsibilities:

Record keeping and assisting with regulated procedures as and when require

Ensure animal welfare is up to date and any concerns reported to the NACWO

To follow the clients Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)

Basic husbandry tasks of the animals including feeding and watering of the animals, health checks, cage cleaning and washing and taking care of animal nutrition

Cleaning of equipment and facilities which will include the use of power washes

Preparing equipment for the next use
Job Requirements:

Experience working and caring for animals

Husbandry experience with rodents (preferred)

Previous experience with handling mice and rats would be beneficial

At least 6 months experience working in a research facility would be beneficial

Animal care management certificate or similar (preferred)
